FloraeLume Community Guidelines & Participation Policies

FloraeLume Collective is the cultural and community programming arm of Karnelian Luminare™. Our events are designed to create welcoming spaces where people can gather to explore storytelling, art, media, and creative expression together.

These guidelines are intended to protect the integrity of the FloraeLume community while supporting artists and participants in sharing and engaging with creative work. By attending, participating in, or registering for a FloraeLume event, participants acknowledge and agree to the following guidelines.

Community Principles

FloraeLume events are built on a foundation of respect, curiosity, and thoughtful engagement. Participants are expected to contribute to an environment where individuals can share ideas, perspectives, and creative work in a supportive setting.

We welcome diverse viewpoints and interpretations of art. However, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Karnelian Luminare™ reserves the right to remove individuals from events if their conduct compromises the safety or integrity of the community environment.

FloraeLume Community Code of Conduct

Participants in FloraeLume programming are expected to follow these guiding principles:

Respect for People
Participants should engage with one another respectfully and thoughtfully. Personal attacks, harassment, discrimination, or hostile behavior are not permitted.

Respect for Creative Work
Artists who share their work with the community are offering something meaningful and often vulnerable. Participants should engage with creative works constructively and respectfully. Creative works shared at events may not be recorded, reproduced, or distributed without permission from the creator.

Thoughtful Dialogue
FloraeLume events often involve discussion of storytelling, culture, and artistic expression. Participants are encouraged to approach conversations with openness, curiosity, and respect for differing perspectives.

Support for Artists
Many FloraeLume events highlight emerging or independent artists. Participants are encouraged to support artists by engaging thoughtfully with their work and respecting their creative ownership.

Community Safety
FloraeLume strives to maintain welcoming spaces where participants feel comfortable engaging in conversation and creative exploration. Karnelian Luminare™ reserves the right to intervene in discussions or remove individuals from events if behavior disrupts the community environment.

Creative Exploration
Art often engages with complex themes and emotional experiences. Participants should approach creative works and discussions with an understanding that storytelling may involve challenging ideas or cultural perspectives.

Mature Themes & Audience Discretion

Some FloraeLume programming may include creative works or discussions that explore mature themes. Storytelling across film, theatre, literature, and other artistic mediums may engage with topics such as relationships, sexual content or violence, graphic content, social conflict, identity, or other complex or sensitive subject matter.

Event descriptions will indicate when programming may contain mature subject matter so that participants can make informed decisions about their attendance. Participants are encouraged to use personal discretion when engaging with artistic material.

Accessibility & Accommodations

FloraeLume aims to make its events as accessible as possible. Participants who require accessibility accommodations are encouraged to notify us in advance when registering for an event.

Accessibility requests may include mobility accommodations, sensory considerations, or other support needs that help ensure participants can comfortably engage in programming.

Requests may be submitted through the event registration form or by contacting:

Artist Participation & Creative Submissions

FloraeLume may host events that feature creative works submitted by artists, including staged readings, film screenings, script workshops, creative showcases, or similar presentations.

Artists who submit work for presentation represent and warrant that:

  • they are the creator or authorized rights holder of the work; or

  • they have obtained all necessary permissions or licenses to publicly present the work.

Karnelian Luminare™ and FloraeLume Collective do not claim ownership of any creative works presented at FloraeLume events. All intellectual property rights remain with the respective creators or rights holders.

Artists are responsible for ensuring their work does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.

Performance & Screening Rights

For events involving staged readings, film screenings, or other presentations of creative works, the individual submitting or presenting the work is responsible for ensuring they have the legal authority to present the material.

By submitting work for FloraeLume programming, the submitting party represents and warrants that they have obtained all necessary permissions, licenses, or authorizations required for public presentation.

Karnelian Luminare™ does not assume responsibility for verifying copyright ownership or licensing permissions for submitted works. If a dispute regarding rights or permissions arises, the submitting party agrees to assume responsibility for resolving such matters.

Use of Creative Work During Events

Creative works shared during FloraeLume events are presented for artistic exploration, discussion, and community engagement.

Participants may not record, reproduce, distribute, or publicly share creative works presented during events without the express permission of the creator or rights holder.

Photography & Media

FloraeLume events may occasionally include photography, video recording, or other media documentation for promotional or archival purposes.

By attending public FloraeLume events, participants acknowledge that photographs or recordings may occur. Participants who prefer not to appear in promotional materials may notify event organizers upon arrival.

Event Registration

Some FloraeLume events may require advance registration. Registration forms may collect information necessary for event planning, accessibility accommodations, or communication with participants.

Submitting a registration form does not guarantee admission to events that have limited capacity.

Liability Disclaimer

Participation in FloraeLume events is voluntary. Karnelian Luminare™ is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property that may occur during participation in events.

Participants agree to attend events at their own discretion and responsibility.
